Peter enjoys helping clients achieve their goals in business. He has a special interest in tax and business development.

Peter was employed for thirteen years with the Inland Revenue Department, mostly in the Investigations and Corporate sections, before transferring those valuable skills to the public practice sector. He has a very strong knowledge of all areas of New Zealand taxation laws which he applies for the benefit of clients. This includes tax planning and tax effective business structures.

Peter understands what running a business involves and can advise on how to avoid the many pitfalls. He has the ability to convey what can be complicated business matters in laymen’s terms and his disciplined approach to conducting business ensures clients receive the best advice.

Debbie's role of Business Manager involves managing our firm, in addition to working with clients in a business coaching and advisory role.

She enjoys helping clients develop the confidence to run their business successfully. The resident guru when it comes to accounting software (eg. Xero, Banklink, MYOB), Debbie helps clients with the setup, troubleshooting and ongoing support.

In the Business Manager role, Debbie is focused on ensuring we are constantly striving to improve the service provided to our clients and improving our own internal systems. The role is client focused, continuously looking at what and how we can improve to meet client needs.

Debbie’s previous experience includes eighteen years with IRD in both the Napier and Christchurch offices, including Business Services, Technical Services and Investigations. Debbie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and is currently studying towards a Diploma of Organisational Psychology.

Lisa is a Senior Accountant with responsibilities for the larger client groups, staff training and reviews.

She works with a number of clients and likes to add value by encouraging clients to develop their businesses through improved record keeping and systems. Lisa has an eye for detail and likes to work quickly and efficiently to complete jobs in a timely manner. She is also Xero certified.

Lisa completed her Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting and Finance) from Massey University in 1988 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 giving her twenty years of chartered accountancy experience to date. She was employed with the IRD for over ten years predominantly in the Investigations/Corporate Units.

Jannaya Cross

Jannaya is an Accountant regularly liaising with clients and is involved in preparing financial statements, tax returns, management reports and GST returns.  She also has a creative side and looks after our website and newsletter.

Jannaya is Xero certified and a great trainer on systems. She enjoys helping clients understand their accounting system and developing streamlined processes to make the accounting function of running a business easier. 

Jannaya started her accounting career with us in 2009 and is now only a couple of papers away from finishing her Bachelor of Business Studies (Accountancy). She has future aspirations to become a Chartered Accountant.
